Friend and former foe Eric Nagurney might be solely responsible for introducing me to most of the music that I hold really dear, and he probably doesn’t even know it. 
And this is one of the best so far.  
The moment in A More Perfect Union from The Monitor, when they first rip into that unbelievable guitar rift, may be the purest, happiest moment I’ve had listening to music. 


Shucks. I missed this earlier, since I hadn’t really been checking Tumblr over the holidays. But it makes me so happy that I, one way or another, introduced you to this band. Real talk, I honestly think they’re the greatest band in the world. Roughly two years later, The Monitor invigorates me every single time I hear it. I should be tired of it at some point, there should be a song that I want to skip. But there’s not.
